It’s always excited when your achievement is highly recognized by the influential people. This is especially happen to graduate students, when their research work that are submitted to the journal are accepted. I’m one of the lucky students, who is the major contributor of 2 journal articles, and both of them were accepted recently. Another 3 more co-authored journal articles are still under review. 今天收到在UB拿到的第3张证书, 是Advanced Certificate in Computational Science的. 拼了1学期的heavy-duty编程, 总算有一点成果了. 本来以为在UB拿3张证书已经够多了, 就这样, 又在UB多拿一张比较意外的. 2002年一张B.S.的, 2004年一张M.S.的, 2006年一张Advanced Certificate, 2007年一张Ph.D.的? 真的是UB的忠实支持者. Computational Science很容易被人误会是Computer Science的, 当然两个最大的共同点就是都是用电脑, 只是前者都是做量非常大的运算; 后者则是用电脑解决任何问题的科学. Computational Science可以算是Computer Science的子集. 好了, 连UB第3张证书都到手了 应该加紧地为第4张打拼了.

  一场暴风雪把整个Buffalo化成一大片白白的沙漠. 当然这是Buffalo常见的情景, 只是这一季, 雪景来得太迟了吧. 冬天迟到了? 还好, Buffalo之前异常的天气总算有点恢复原来的样子, 才有机会在上周上了雪山, 穿着雪橇从坡上滑下来. 在Buffalo 6年了还没上过雪山真的有点异常, 但总算完整了Buffalo的生活, 把在Buffalo应该做的事都完成了, 至少离开这个地方的时候可以荣幸的说我曾经是这个城市的居民. 这一季的雪景应该也不会太长久吧? 相机被扎破了, 雪景也没办法拍下来, 只好看有没有会把这个这一季难得的雪景拍下来留念.
